Hi, I'm JP.

I’m a product design engineer based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Currently, I build innovative tools for photographers and videographers at PolarPro, an adventure-driven camera accessory company based out of Costa Mesa, California. I'm also the founder of artifactual, a design studio that specializes in consumer product development and small-scale manufacturing.

Since graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in mechanical engineering, I have guided over seventy products through each stage of the development process, from tripods to camera filters to phone cases, taking each from concept sketch all the way to mass production. Utilizing human-centered design processes, coupled with a deep understanding of fundamental engineering principles.I focus on building thoughtfully-designed products that are beautiful, functional, and impactful.

Outside of the studio, you can find me honing my skills as a landscape photographer, backpacker, pizza maker, aviation geek, avid reader, and amateur naturalist. Otherwise, I'm typically taking a walk with my wife, Sarah, and our husky, Pfeiffer.
